Yifat Ebner-Winkler

Founder & Teacher

Since 2015 I have been gathering groups of children around tables – at my home, in schools, and in community centers – to bake together and talk about the past.

For the previous 15 years, I had been a defense attorney. During those years I was grateful to be able to help people in the process of growth, as they sought to improve their lives from the low points they had reached; however, I felt a growing urge to contribute to the field of education. The Baking History project provides me with the opportunity to spark curiosity and appetite in young minds, and to have lots of fun while doing that.

I am currently living in St. Johns, Florida after living most my life in Israel. I’m married to a wonderful Jedi Knight, and together we are the good-enough parents of four children. When not teaching Baking History I am either running, volunteering at the Betty Griffin House, or baking.
